Nicola Cacciatore gained a History PhD at the University of Strathclyde in 2019. His work revolves primarily around the issue of cooperation between Italian partisans and British forces. He also focuses on and how this relationship has been portrayed in historiography and its legacy in public memory. Nicola also deals with themes of public history, public memory, representation and self-representation.
He published an article revolving around these themes in Modern Italy: 'Missed Connection: relations between Italian anti-fascist emigration and British forces in Egypt (1940-1944)'. He's also the creator of the podcast 'Racconti dal Nascondiglio' that recounts the stories of British liaison officers parachuted in Italy during the Second World War.
