ASMI 2022 Conference Call for Papers

It was with great sadness that we learned of the passing of our honorary president Paul Ginsborg, in his home in Oltrarno, Florence, on 11 May 2022.
Paul's contribution as a scholar, teacher, and mentor in the field of Italian history and beyond was vast. In his books, articles, and various contributions, Paul proved his sharp understanding of Italy, from the point of view of an «anglo-florentine» as he defined himelf. Paul always supported ASMI's activities with enthusiasm, humour and humanity.
But, besides his academical achievements, he will also be remembered as a kind, friendly and approachable man who helped many young scholars in their career. His death represents a huge loss to the field, and he will be missed terribly.
