2025 ISLG Annual Lecture – Italian Cultural Institute

The 2025 Italian Studies Library Group Lecture will take place on Wednesday 24 September 2025, 6.30pm, at the Italian Cultural Institute, London.

The lecture will be delivered by Professor Joseph Farrell (Emeritus Professor, University of Strathclyde), who will speak on Carlo Levi and Power in Society.

Marking fifty years since Levi’s death and eighty years since the publication of Cristo si è fermato a Eboli, the lecture offers an opportunity to revisit his work and political engagement, and to reflect on his enduring legacy in Italian culture and society.

The event is hosted by the Italian Cultural Institute in London. Further details and booking information are available on the Institute’s website
