The second webinar in the series The Transnational Making of Italy: Methods, Opportunities, and Challenges, organised by the ASMI-SISSCO Joint Commission will be held on 7th March 2025, h. 16.00 (CET).

The event will be titled Rethinking Transnational Italy between Migration and Mobility, featuring talks by:

– Alice Gussoni (Padova): Emigration Agents and Labour Recruiters between Palermo and New Orleans: a Transnational Approach to Early Sicilian Migration (1865-1901)

– Gabriele Montalbano (Bologna – New York): The making of Italians in Tunisia between working-class mobility and trans-imperial colonialism (late 19th century – 1920s)
