ASMI General Conference 2025 – Justice and Trials in Contemporary Italy (London, 28–29 November 2025)

The Association for the Study of Modern Italy (ASMI) announces its General Conference 2025, Justice and Trials in Contemporary Italy, to be held at the Institute for Languages, Cultures and Societies (School of Advanced Study, University of London) on 28–29 November 2025.

Registration.
You are warmly invited to register by 12 November 2025 using the following link – even if you wish to attend as a non-presenting participant: Register for the 2025 ASMI Conference.
Registration includes lunch on both days as well as coffee and tea. Please note that the conference will take place in person only. The keynote addresses, however, may be followed in person without registration and will also be streamed on YouTube and ASMI’s social media channels.

ASMI membership.
All participants, whether presenting or not, are expected to be members of ASMI. Membership information and subscription details are available here: ASMI Membership Information
On 28 November, at the end of the first day of the conference, the ASMI General Assembly 2025 will take place. All ASMI members are warmly invited to attend (with no conference registration), and relevant materials will be circulated in due course.

Paul Ginsborg event
In addition, there will be a free event on Thursday, 27 November, held in honour of a former ASMI President, Professor Paul Ginsborg. All are warmly welcome to attend this event, which will be followed by a drinks reception.
