ASMI-sponsored conference “Militarisation, Sexualisation and Violence in the Global Twentieth Century’, Turin, 25–26 November 2025

We are pleased to share the programme of the ASMI-sponsored conference “Militarisation, Sexualisation and Violence in the Global Twentieth Century”, to be held on Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 November 2025 at the University of Turin.

This international workshop explores how processes of militarisation and sexualisation have shaped experiences of violence, power and inequality across the global twentieth century, bringing together scholars working on a wide range of geographical areas, case studies and methodological approaches.

The conference is sponsored by ASMI and hosted by the University of Turin.
